BV Nordic Ski Club

The BV Nordic Ski Club – It is located only 10 minutes away from town, 9km up Hudson Bay Mountain Road. The Nordic centre is known for the long ski season and amazing snow conditions. It has 45km of trails that go through spruce and pine forests.

Ice Skating

Local skating is available at the Smithers Civic Centre Arena, the Telkwa outdoor rink, as well as many rinks on local lakes such as Lake Katherine. For Civic Centre information please call 250-847-5719.

Hockey

Come out and watch the good old hockey game. Our local hockey team, the Steelheads rip up the arena on most Saturday nights at the Civic Centre. The Smithers Steelheads are members of the CIHL league. For game times and prices please call 250-847-5719.
